Today Match Prediction for MI vs CSK Dream11:The big one is here. The two most successful teams of the tournament face off against each other in a massive game which could have implications when it comes to the overall tournament. These are two teams who have a combined 8 titles to their names and are once again looking good in this tournament. Chennai have been the top team in this tournament so far but this is usually the time when the Mumbai Indians team starts performing and peaking. The team batting second has held the edge in the Delhi Pitch.
IPL 2021 will be 26 matches old when the tournament's biggest rivalry plays out in Delhi. The Mumbai Indians v Chennai Super Kings contest has come relatively late in the tournament, allowing both teams a chance of an honest assessment of their credentials. And despite the contrasting forms of the two teams only six months earlier, MS Dhoni's side seem to have rediscovered the lost mojo.
Player availability: Mumbai Indians haven't provided an update on injuries or player unavailability.
Tactics and Matchups: Trent Boult hasn't been able to provide the early breakthroughs for Mumbai Indians this year, but his contest against the in-form Faf du Plessis could be interesting. The South African has struggled to score against the left-armer, in the 36 balls he has faced against Boult, he has scored only 34 runs and been dismissed twice. Jasprit Bumrah too has managed to keep MS Dhoni quiet, conceding only a run-a-ball 56 against the CSK skipper.
Mumbai Indians Playing 11 (likely)
Rohit Sharma – The hitman looks like he is in form and it is going to be another game where he would look to attack from the word go. He has an average of 35 right now but that looks like it would increase with the pitch being better in Delhi and he has an opportunity to add to his 215 runs
Rahul Chahar – He has turned out to be a trump card for this team and has picked up 11 wickets so far at an average of 15.22. He is their biggest chance of picking up the Chennai wickets.
Player availability: No injuries have been reported by CSK as yet. All players should be available for selection
Tactics & Matchups:Ravindra Jadeja has managed to keep Rohit Sharma in check, conceding only 71 runs in 72 balls. It won't be a surprise if the left-arm spinner is called in to bowl in the powerplay against the MI skipper.
Chennai Super Kings Playing 11
Faf Du Plessis – He has performed well in the tournament and has scored 270 runs in 6 games so far. He has averaged 67 at a staggering strike ate of 140. This is going to be his biggest test against Boult and Bumrah
Rituraj Gaekwad – He played a brilliant knock of 74 in the last game and has scored 192 runs in the tournament in 6 games. He started slow but picked up to play brilliantly later on. He will be a key cog in the wheel
"The players have taken more responsibility this year. You will be facing adverse things but ultimately it boils down to how each individual rises to the occasion and gives the extra 10 percent for the team. Last 8-10 years we've not changed a lot of players so they know our approach." - MS Dhoni
Chennai Super Kings go in this game as definite favorites but as we have seen, this league is one of the toughest and will be a tightly fought game here. One of the games of the tournametn here. MI vs CSK Dream11 today match prediction
