SRH vs KKR Dream11:Having already seen two high scoring encounters, we are now going to see one more game where there are two teams who are looking to score big in this game with their batting depths and also with the Chennai pitch offering some assistance to bowlers, it is definitely going to bring bowlers who can use their variations to restrict their opposition. Sunrisers and Kolkata Knight Riders go head to head here and both of these teams have over the years been genuine dark horses. These teams however have been facing a trophy drought for the last few years.
It took Sunrisers Hyderabad 10 games last year to find the right formula. Even though that's quite late in an IPL season, they still had time to turn their campaign around and make a late dash into the playoffs for the fifth consecutive time. The usual suspects delivered, but more importantly, some new heroes emerged which convinced the management to not make wholesale changes to the squad ahead of the auction in February this year.
The likes of Jason Holder, Sandeep Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha stepped up to aid skipper David Warner and trumpcard Rashid Khan last year, whereas T Natarajan's meteoric rise grabbed headlines. Add a fit-again Bhuvneshwar Kumar to the mix, SRH are primed to hold on to their reputation of having the best bowling attack. With the stars aligning towards the back end of the tournament last year, 2021 promises more than just a top 4 finish to cap off this successful cycle.
Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, had endured a frustrating season six months ago in the UAE but their recent additions give them hope. Shakib Al Hasan, who was a part of the side that won in 2012 and 2014, is back. They have also added Harbhajan Singh to their ranks and will rely on the veteran on slow tracks. Varun Chakravarthy was a revelation last year but they will hope for more wickets from Pat Cummins up front. Eoin Morgan's first full season as KKR skipper is bound to cause excitement and he will certainly pin his hopes on star allrounder Andre Russell, who had a forgettable campaign with the bat last time around.
Jonny Bairstow has been in blazing form but expect SRH to stick to Wriddhiman Saha as their opener following his cameos at the end of last season. Kane Williamson in the middle order will be ideal in these conditions as well. Considering the number of left-handers in the opposition ranks and with the surface expected to aid spin, Mohammad Nabi might get a go ahead of Jason Holder.
Sunrisers Hyderabad Playing 11 (likely)
David Warner The captain has lead from the front in IPL and has also held the orange cap in the past. You expect him to come all guns blazing here and be a big factor in the tournament. He has over 5000 runs int his tournament and scores at a strike rate of 141.54.
Kane Williamson The Iceman as he is called, he can be fire on the pitch when he is batting. He bats at an average of close to 40 in the T20 game and has a strike rate of close to 134.80 in this tournament.
Shakib Al Hasan or Sunil Narine is probably the one tough call that has to be taken by the Knight Riders. Harbhajan Singh's familiarity with the conditions will keep him in the mix.
Kolkata Knight Riders Playing 11 (likely)
Andre Russel He is one of the players who is going to dominate the proceedings in the tournament as he usually does.. He has a strike rate of close to 180 and has the ability to dominate the proceedings here. This is going to be the competition where he can get a lot more freedom under Mogan and can be even more destructive
Shubhman Gill Having impressed one and all with his exploits at the international level. He is going to now look to deliver for the franchise that has backed him for many years. He has an average of close to 33.4 and a strike rate of nearly 125 here.
Kolkata gets the edge here with the hard hitters in the tournament. They are going to be looking to make it one of the best games here and lay the marker down early. Expect some fireworks here. SRH vs KOL Dream11 today match prediction
