Today Match Prediction for RR vs DC Dream11:This IPL edition has so far been a tale of two stadiums. The games at Chennai have been low scoring humdingers while the ones at Wankhade have been run fests, no less thrilling. This is a game where these two teams and their power hitters will look to let loose and score as much as they can. We have seen scores like 220 also be challenged. Delhi chased almost 190 down in the first game they played and Rajasthan almost chased down 220 +. This will be another game where they will be looking to play without fear and score as big as they can. The pitch is a nightmare for bowlers.
After their opening game heartbreak, Samson will now have to try and outwit last season's finalists Delhi Capitals, who despite missing mainstays like Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje and Axar Patel, put away Chennai Super Kings rather comfortably. However, they too have been hit with a snag leading into the contest, once again levelling the playing field. The Capitals would've hoped to bring in their South African pace duo, but COVID-related logistical issues have rendered them unavailable - something the Royals would love to capitalise on.
Tactics & Matchups - Ben Stokes is obviously out of the tournament. Jofra Archer has been given clearance to resume "light training" post surgery, but there's no clarity on his IPL participation yet. However, David Miller and Andrew Tye are out of quarantine and will be available for selection.
Rajasthan Royals Playing 11 (likely)
Anrich Nortje is in quarantine after a COVID scare. He's asymptomatic and will not be available for the game. Axar Patel, who had tested positive, joins the DC squad, but will miss out on the clash. Kagiso Rabada is also understood to be in quarantine so will remain unavailable for selection. Ishant Sharma too is likely to miss the game with a niggle, because of which he missed the tournament opener too.
Tactics & Matchups: DC will save Stoinis for Sanju Samson. Against the RR captain, Stoinis has bowled 12 balls, has only given away 18 runs but has dismissed him twice. In the absence of their South African pace duo, Ashwin and Amit Mishra will be key to DC's fortunes, having shared 46 wickets between themselves against RR and having not conceded over seven-an-over. Mishra also has an interesting record against Samson, who only managed to score 8 runs against the leg-spinner in 19 balls. However, of his 30 wickets in 19 games, he has dismissed Samson only once.
Delhi Capitals Playing 11
Delhi look like a more balanced side and Rajasthan look a little depleted with the loss of Stokes. You would expect them to make this their second win on the trot. Its Keeper batsman vs keeper batsman here and you would expect Rishabh to win the captaincy battle RR vs DC Dream11 today match prediction
