Stories are the fun and creative way to share several moments about what you are up to, whether giving a birthday shout out to your friends, sharing the currently listening music, or posting a candid moment around your neighbourhood. While Instagram offers a fun and creative way to get going with the stories, it has also increased the timing of the Stories. 

Instagram has significantly increased the length of the Stories, which was earlier limited to 15 seconds, while now, people can easily share stories up to 60 seconds. Eliminating the need to add multiple 15 seconds clips, you can now increase the length of your stories to 60 seconds. However, Instagram automatically adjusts the length of the music according to the length of your video. 

This means that you can change the length of your reels that you are posting on your story but the length of the videos will automatically be adjusted by default, thus the length of the video will be similar to the music added to it. For example- if your video is of 60 seconds in length, the music you will be adding to it will automatically be adjusted to 60 seconds in length without splitting the video into various small clips. 

Here’s how to post increased time Story on Instagram:

Open the Instagram app.

 

 

 

Tap on the ‘+’ sign at the top left corner of the screen(which says ‘Your story).

Select the video that you want to post on your Instagram Story.

Now, tap on the music sticker on the top.

Search and the music of your choice.

Instagram will automatically adjust the length of the music according to the length of your video.

Bear in mind that you can only add videos of up to maximum 60 secs in length on your Instagram story.
